“IMHO - this hotel is located in the best point of the Bohinj. The area is beautiful, quiet and ideal for any type of activities. The beach is 5 min on foot. The hotel itself is just what you can dream of. Comfortable rooms with all the necessary facilities. Our room, for example, had a big bookcase with a great collection of various books. Cosy living-room downstairs to have a cup of tea in the evening and meet the other guests of the place. Spacious and picturesque premises. Breakfast is superb! Everything is of really high quality and very tasty and fresh. And of course the key figure - Yana. This is the person who does her best to make your stay fantastic and perfectly balanced. Higly recommend!”

“A great location in several ways. The Lake Bohinj, w the highest mountain tops of Slovenia arround - already a treasure in itself. Its western part, Ukanc, at the foot of Vogel and the cable car to its top - the most beautiful spot on the Lake. The absolute gem among the crown's jewels that the property presents are the emerald green clear waters of the Savica river along the border, flowing into the Lake just nearby.
The concept adults only, the nature itself and the property landscape design present a great visual and auditory challenge that lend themselves ideally to meditation, mindfulness practice and healing the soul in general.
The size of the Alpine style house is just right (two storries, 9 rooms, each one with a balcony). All the furniture, fittings and equippment are sturdy & of high quality (great, comfortable bed!) an perfectly mounted and maintained. Rooms and hallways are maticullously cleaned, beds made and towels changed on daily basis.
The interior design of the dining room and the living room/lounge with a fire place reflect a great taste, the rich library - types of previous guests. Abundance of flowers displayed in all possible places (hanging from long pots on room balconies, in glass vessels on each table in the dining room at breakfast, in large pots outside, arranged around the house) give each space, in and out, a special touch.
Deck chairs, tables and benches on the lane enable the mesmerized guests to enjoy the exquisite beauty of the centre piece of the property – the Savica river flowing along the border of the property. This gazing takes much of their time from going out or staying on day trips.
A high quality, rich breakfast of a buffet type, prepared and served by the landlady, is greatly diversified.
A very welcoming and friendly owner.”

“We stayed here for four nights during our trip to Slovenia.
It is an Adults Only B&B, so no children allowed, and we mainly chose this to ensure peace and quiet during our stay.
It is located in a small village called Ukanc. This is approx. a 10-15 minute drive from Ribcev Laz (or around a 1.5hr walk if you're feeling energetic!) and on the opposite side of Lake Bohinj. You can get a tourist boat from the campsite to Ribcev Laz and back.
To get there, you turn right off the main road by a large campsite. You drive down the road and passed the Camp Zlatorog Bohinj. You follow the road passed a pizzeria and a small hut selling drinks and ice creams. You then drive over a wooden bridge and the B&B is on your left.
We were greeted on arrival by the owner of the property who was a very pleasant and helpful woman. We checked in and she showed us around the property, and then to our room.
The house is made up of 8 bedrooms. There is a main area for breakfast in the mornings. Next to the breakfast area is a kitchenette with tea & coffee making facilities, an ice machine, a fridge, and some snacks. There was a makeshift bar that you could help yourself to but that was not included in the price. There were mugs and glasses that you could use. There were armchairs, tables, a sofa and TV with some DVDs. It was a communal seating and relaxing area.
Our room was on the top floor (2nd floor). It was a nice room. Light. Airy. Pastel colours. We had a double bed (two beds drawn together). The bathroom was a decent size with a decent shower. We had a balcony that overlooked the front of the B&B. It is surrounded by the mountains and trees and was very pretty. People were walking passed pretty much all day from around 07:00-21:00 but it wasn't particularly noisy. There were no tea & coffee making facilities in the room but you could make drinks in the kitchenette and bring them up. There was a fridge in the room and we used that for keeping drinks in. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and relax in the evenings.
The only down side to the room was that there was no air conditioning and no fan available. It was around 28C most of the time we were there and the room was very warm, even with the window and balcony door open at night. In the end we bought an electric fan from a shop in Bohinjska Bistrica and that helped a lot.
Because our room faced east as well, the sunrise woke us up at around 05:00 each day, and at times we struggled to get back to sleep. The curtains were pretty but didn't block very much sunlight out.
Breakfast was decent with a good continental selection. The owner of the house made fresh scrambled eggs for us each morning too!
The B&B is next to a river and has a lovely garden to sit in and admire the view. It was very picturesque and very relaxing to be there. There are some good walks from the B&B (including up to Slap Savica) and it is only a 5-10 minute walk to Lake Bohinj and a beach (made of pebbles/stones) where lots of people were swimming in the lake.
A lovely B&B. Apart from being far too warm at night, we really enjoyed staying here. It was just what we needed. Recommended for those seeking peace & quiet.”

“The hospitality is great. Very clean and nice. The owner is really kind and helpful. The breakfast is wonderful, full of homemade food.
Villa Park is located right next to the lake. You can walk around the whole lake (approx. 12 km)
or visit Waterfall Savica. The air is so fresh and the place is calm and relaxing.
It was our third time in Villa Park and we loved everything.”

“We enjoyed 10 days at the comfortable Vila Park in lovely surroundings at the western end of Bohinj Lake. Wonderful hospitality from Jana, who is also great fun.
Car or bike would be an advantage but we managed, with some ingenuity, by bus, train and tourist boat, for which buying the Bohinj tourist card is worthwhile. GoOpti transfers from the airport worked well.
Meals at the local Gostilna were good but it was closed Monday and Tuesday - may be different in main season. Could also recommend Hotel Jezero at Ribcev Laz and the Castle Restaurant in Ljubljiana - a delightful city.
Walks to Savica waterfall and Mostnice Gorge are a must and don't miss St Martin's church in Bled.”

“The hostess Jana was more than helpful and went way more than expected. She was full of information about the places to visit as well as places to eat in and around the area. Without a shadow of doubt the friendliest cleanest B&B you could ever find. Thank you Jana for a memorable stay as well as a special breakfast.”
